Arpeggios in the Pentatonics

Pentatonic scales may be the best scales in the world. At least I feel that they are.

They sound great in so many musical settings and it’s really hard to hit a wrong note when improvising with them.

There are certain notes however that you can target which will help the pentatonic scale really fit in with the song or guitar backing track you are jamming to. They are the chord tones, also known as arpeggios.

There are two important arpeggios hidden in each pentatonic mode, one major and one minor.

In this lesson we are going to take a look at how these arpeggios fit into the pentatonics in order to help you better make sense of this valuable scale.
