Carol of the Bells Guitar Lesson

“Carol of the Bells” captures the exhilarating spirit of the winter holidays with its driving rhythms and its soaring melodies.

Composed by Mykola Leontovych, the song is based on a folk chant known in Ukrainian as “Shchedryk”.

It has been arranged many times for different genres, styles of singing and settings and has been covered by artists and groups of many genres: classical, metal, jazz, rock, and pop.

Here’s a version of “Carol of the Bells” or “Carol of the Guitars” as I like to call it, that I recorded around 2004. In this lesson we will learn the main parts from this arrangement. Enjoy.
