Joe Walsh is definitely a big character, but he has a sweet touch with the slide. He was taught by the great Duane Allman while they toured together. He has created some of the most memorable slide guitar parts that classic rock has to offer.

Joe also happens to be a great teacher! In this video from GibsonGuitarsUK he explains the basics of slide guitar so simply and efficiently that I was blown away. He quickly shows you the most efficient tuning to play slide guitar in “E Major”, as well as the scale he typically uses.
