Use downward pick slanting at all times

When playing a descending line only switch strings after upstrokes

If necessary when descending insert 1 pull off to make an upstroke possible

When playing ascending line only switch strings after upstrokes

If necessary when ascending use downward sweeping
By combining all of these techniques Troy is able to pick any phrase he pleases whether it be ascending or descending. Will they work the same for you?
