Lately I’ve been on a blues guitar kick. I love the blues. It seems like the root of all music. What classical music is to the air, the blues is to the soil. The Earth Mother of Music! But sometimes the blues is an old man telling his stories. Weary and wise.
Anyways, here’s a cool blues lesson I was practicing today created by the Blues Guitar Institute. The lick fits in nicely during the E major chord vamps in a twelve bar blues progression. I love how the classic hammered-on E chords pair with the simplicity of the E minor pentatonic lick.
