[lollum_dropcap]O[/lollum_dropcap]ne of my favorite solos is the first one from Pink Floyd’s Comfortably Numb.
Every time that I hear David Gilmour’s Strat ring out these soaring note it gives me the chills.
Every lick is packed with emotion and tastefulness.
Don’t get me wrong though, the second solo near the end over the minor based chord progression is just as good but it’s the lyrical major phasing that I think draws me to the earlier solo.
