Every Rose Has It’s Thorn Guitar Solo Lesson

Here’s a lesson that I did a while ago on the two solos from Poison’s “Every Rose Has it’s Thorn”.  The lead guitarist CC Deville is underrated in my opinion, probably due to his band’s glam looks and catchy songs. He can really tear it up when he wants to.

The two solos in this song are based around the G major scale which looks a lot like the E minor scale (they are the same scale). CC uses hammer-ons, pull-offs and unison bends to draw heart-felt emotion from his guitar, perfectly matching the song’s vibe.

If you have any questions please leave them in the comments and help our site grow by sharing this awesome knowledge with others.
