Hell’s Bells Guitar Lesson

Hells-Bells

[lollum_dropcap]I[/lollum_dropcap]n 1980 AC/DC returned to the world of rock & roll just six months after losing their original singer Bon Scott. Brian Johnson took over the lead vocal spot and the whole band was nervous about how the new line up would be received.

From the opening gongs of the albums first track “Hell’s Bells”, Back in Black became fixed in the halls of rock and roll’s greatest albums for all time.

About the bell.

Originally the band tried to record the chimes of a real church bell for the opening of the track but were unable to, due to the sounds of local birds flying from their roosts every time the bell rang out.

They eventually had to have a special bell forged that they could use to record in the studio. That is the now famous bell emblazoned with AC/DC that toured the world with the band.
