Licks from the Video
Here are the four licks that Justin shows us in this video. They range from an easy repeating three note pattern to an all out blistering metal lick. Have fun with these and remember to keep your rhythm steady and take your time. It will never sound good fast if it never sounded good slow.

Lick 1
Here is the core lick that all the variations are built upon. It’s a quick hammer on and pull of followed by a single note on the next string up.
Lick 2
In this lick there is added variety due to the changing hammered on notes.
Lick 3
In this sweet metal type lick Justin takes moving the hammered high notes to the next level. This odd seven note lick may be a bit tricky to fit in when jamming, but I suggest not thinking about it too much and just going for it. Eventually you’ll find the sweetspot where the lick fits right in with the rhythm.
Lick 4
A big part of guitar solos involves getting from point ‘A’ to point ‘B’, and doing it in style. This is the sort of lick that can do that. Mind the bit Justin says about muting with your first finger across the neck while you play the lick. This will reduce unwanted noise as well as allow more freedom to your picking hand, since it won’t need to be as accurate.
