Check out this cool melodic 3 note per string pattern in the key of E minor from The Pick-master General Paul Gilbert. I took his School of Rock course over at Artistworks and loved it. If you’re trying to get your picking hand going, why would you go anywhere else. You go right to the source.
Pay careful attention to his comment about up-picking the high notes in order to sync up your hands.
