Perfect Intervals: 4th, 5th & the Octave

Perfect-Intervals

The distance between two notes is called an Interval. There are twelve notes in the chromatic scale which creates twelve possible intervals.

Let’s take a look at the intervals referred to as ” Perfect Intervals “. They are the fourth, the fifth, the unison & the octave.

Actually, we’re going to skip the unison interval in this lesson since it is rarely played on the guitar. Just know that it means playing two of the same notes.

Each interval is shown as it appears on the piano. Then it is shown on the guitar neck in two ways.
