Wow! This lesson is awesome. Guthrie Govan (a monster player in his own right) desects a few few licks in the style of the late great Shawn Lane. He plays them at half speed and then again at blistering, unnaturally fast speed.
Both Guthrie and Shawn have a habit of playing odd groupings of notes (tuplets) which lends to the creation of some interesting licks. I’ve tabbed out examples 1 thru 6b for your learning pleasure…and mine. Enjoy!
